LOW-LIGHT HANDGUN COURSE (4 Hour Class)
Next class: We will schedule a few of these classes this fall as it starts to get dark early.
Please note that this class is limited in size and only given a few times a year. Sign up early to get a place in this class!
For a civilian, most encounters with the Bad Guys are most likely to take place at night or in low light conditions. Thats when the predators come out in force! Training with your weapon in the daytime alone does not prepare you to fight with your firearm in the dark.
This class teaches low-light techniques for getting precise hits on target. We start this class late in the evening with enough light to refresh some of the techniques learned in the Defensive Handgun Class. As it gets darker we will transition into flashlight drills for threat identification, sight alignment and shot placement. We will work on movement drills and movement to cover in the dark, multiple threats and reloading and malfunction drills.
Prerequisites:
You must have completed a one day DEFENSIVE FIREARMS CLASS or at least 6 hours of ONE on ONE PERSONAL DEFENSIVE FIREARM TRAINING to take the LOW-LIGHT CLASS.
Equipment Required for Handgun Courses:
Clear eye protection
Hearing protection
Hand-held flashlight (such as a HELLFIGHTER X8)
Weapon-mounted lights/Lasers are welcome but not mandatory
Handgun with a minimum of 2 magazines (or speed-loaders for revolvers)
Practical-concealable hip holster (no small-of-back, fanny pack, or shoulder rigs). This holster must permit re-holstering with the use of ONLY one hand! (No soft nylon holsters.) Holsters with NO safety strap or retention system are strongly recommended.
Belt-mounted magazine pouch(s) for two magazines or 2 speed-loaders
Ammunition -200 rounds minimum

Here is what some are saying about this class.......
Tim, thank you for the learning experience you provided in the low-light class in which we participated Saturday. As in all your classes, the student was treated with courtesy and respect--reprimands and correction when needed were always structured in an encouraging, positive framework. I appreciate your efforts.

Tim,
I really enjoyed your Low-Light class. As always, you provide professional training in a comfortable environment, and I appreciate your attention to safety during all your drills. Low-light training is not something I had ever given thought to, but after attending your class, I realize how important it is. You helped me realize that darkness can be my friend and emphasized the benefits I can get from my night sights.

Tim,
The Low Light training is by far the most challenging training I have had to date. The class brings all the skills learned in the Defensive handgun class to a culmination, and adds more skill on top of that. I am glad that I had a chance to attend and am looking forward to more training from you as I have found it to be extremely beneficial and professional.
Thank You
~Michelle G.
