Women's Basic Handgun Class

This class is for women only.

This class is designed for women who have either never handled a handgun, or those with limited handgun experience. We teach you the basic skills needed to safely handle and shoot a handgun. We start the day in the classroom, then move to the firing range to put into practice what we have learned. By the end of the day, you will have the skills and confidence to safely operate a handgun. You may actually be able to shoot better than most men!

Students need to bring eye and ear protection if you have them, we can loan them to you if you don't have, please let us know in advance. Long pants and a baseball type hat are also required on the range. Bring your handgun and at least 50 rounds of ammunition. Loaner guns are available if you don't own a handgun as is ammo from our store. Please let us know in advance of the class if you need to borrow a gun.



This course would be required prior to taking the DPS Concealed Handgun License Class if you have little or no experience with safe handling or shooting a handgun.
